Bobcat MT85 Cup Holder
One of our customers runs a pool installation and landscape company and needed a replacement cup holder for their Bobcat MT85 mini track loader. We began by taking a 3D scan of the machine itself and then designed a custom cup holder replacement that would slot directly into the existing cup holder cutout.
Reverse Engineering - Excavator Quick Attach (Work In Progress)
This is a prime example of the power of 3D scanning, 3D printing and CAD. I had purchased a quick attach for my Kubota Excavator which wasn't quite a proper fit. The solution? 3D Scan the part, import into CAD and reverse engineer the design while making it parametric so that I can adjust the sizes to properly fit my machine! Using the 3D scanner I can quickly and accurately import a scan to use as a template for the design, then I can remove the scan and adjust the design to the proper specifications required for my specific machine, then I can start 3D printing the design in sections to ensure proper fitment before moving to the metal fabrication process.
